Homemade Apple Cider

A classic fall favourite. This homemade apple cider is the ideal way to use some of those freshly picked apples. 


INGREDIENTS 

  • 10-12 apples, cored and quartered  

  • 2 oranges, peeled and quartered 

  • Cinnamon stick

  • 4 whole cloves 

  • 8-10 cups water

DIRECTIONS

Place apples, oranges and spices into a stock pot. Add water until the fruit is covered.

Simmer over low heat for 2 hours.

Mash fruit and simmer for another hour. 

Strain through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth.

Reheat to serve.  OH
