Floral Rose Wine Spritzer

A spritzer is a simple cocktail made of wine and soda. This version has a floral twist with subtle notes of rose and elderflower. It’s perfect for a garden party.

ROSE SIMPLE SYRUP 

½ cup granulated sugar 

½ cup water 

4 to 6 dried roses 

Mix together granulated sugar, water and dried roses. Bring to boil and simmer for five minutes.  Remove from heat, strain and let cool. 


COCKTAIL 

½ - 1 oz. rose simple syrup 

1 oz. elderflower liquor 

4 oz. dry rosé wine 

2 oz. sparkling water 

Fill a wine glass with ice. Mix together rose simple syrup (adjust sweetness to taste), elderflower liquor and rosé wine. Top with sparkling water and stir. OH
