Almond Snowball Cookies

These cookies may just start a fight – a snowball fight! These classic treats have a tender shortbread texture with just a hint of orange zest. 


INGREDIENTS (Makes 20-25 cookies)
1 cup unsalted butter, softened 
½ cup powdered sugar
plus more to coat 
2 cups all-purpose flour 
1 cup almond flour 
1 tsp vanilla extract 
1 tsp orange zest 
½ tsp salt 

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350ºF. 
In a stand mixer with paddle attachment, cream together butter and ½ cup powdered sugar.
Add all-purpose flour, almond flour, vanilla extract, orange zest and salt. Mix until dough is combined and forms a ball.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and roll dough into 1-1.5 inch balls.
Bake for 13-15 minutes, or until bottoms are light brown.
Let cool slightly and, while still warm, roll in powdered sugar.
Let cool before storing. Enjoy!  OH
