See this home in person during the Jolly Holly Festive Tour on Saturday, November 10th and Sunday, November 11th, 2018. Organized by the Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire Preston chapter. It will be decorated and staged for the holidays by the team at Next Time Around and finished with love by the homeowner.
Rustic kitchen with arched door and dark wood. From the ground up, the homeowners of this rural property outside Cambridge were determined to build their home on love – truly. When they laid the foundation for their new home, the homeowners inscribed the word “love” in the concrete.

Built by Breymark Homes in 2017, the home seamlessly combines new and old features, which play off what the homeowner calls “my California roots and his Canadian boots.”

Every detail and finish was carefully considered. The homeowner has an obvious passion for decorating and finding just the right items to complete every space in her home, which is why she helps other people do the same through her company, Rustic Charm Décor. She also turns to local décor stores, including her friends at Next Time Around, to help source items she can tailor to her space.
Under foot, 300-year-old elm wood floors span the entire main level of the home. Timber beams immediately set the rustic chalet tone and are complemented by the double-sided stone fireplace in the great room.

In the kitchen, the homeowners opted for a lighter look, with white cabinetry and a blue painted eat-in table and chairs. Leathered granite counters with tractor stools, stainless steel appliances and a beautiful wood range above the extra-wide stove finish the space.

The homeowner combed through junk yards and antique stores to find just the right pieces to finish off her home’s décor, many of which they refinished to achieve just the right look. Similarly, many other pieces of furniture and décor are family heirlooms that hold special meaning.
