A.J. Godwin and Emile Anhorn.
THE PLACE: Scotts Fireplace is a Windsor institution. Founded in 1993 and owned since 2010 by Emile Anhorn and A.J. Godwin, Scotts prides itself on service, attention to detail and providing state-of-the-art, on-trend and stylish product lines. Scotts offers gas, electric and wood-burning fireplaces and is WETT certified (Wood Energy Technology Transfer Inc.). Most importantly, Scotts wants you to know that they are a one-stop shopping experience and will take care of your fireplace project in its entirety. Once customers select their fireplace, Scotts will install, frame, drywall and also do the stonework. They will even bring in a designer to help with colours or other finishes if that is what the customer wants. “We do a lot of renovations, tear-outs and we also start from new,” says Emile. “Customers love us because we can be their one and only contractor for their fireplace project.” Apart from offering a range of stone products to finish fireplace walls, Scotts Fireplace also offers non-combustible mantel shelves and wood mantels. They take care of you from start to finish.
THE STYLE: Scotts has recently completed a fantastic new renovation of their showroom. There are gorgeous new displays and on-trend models to see – but the friendly, professional service and dedication to customer satisfaction is the same as ever. “We will make sure you are happy,” comments A.J. “That’s the company mission in a nutshell.”
WHAT’S HOT: Electric fireplaces have really come into their own in 2018, and Scotts is Windsor and Essex County’s only showroom featuring the Amantii product line. These new electrics add a terrific, warm glow to a room and can be a great alternative to gas or wood-burning fireplaces. The new models have glass fronts and log inserts making them look more authentic than ever before. And, with the different colours and media set ups that can be used, they can be dressed up any way possible.
WHAT’S NEW: Fireplaces with birch logs in the firebox give an elegant and contemporary look to your gas fireplaces.
FAVOURITES: “We’re loving a great new product from Ambiance called Atlas Stone,” says A.J. “It’s a range of large scale linear stone strips in varying sizes that are a great new way to cover expansive wall areas.” This product adds an organic, gorgeous designer feel to any room.
