The Place: Run by the dynamic team of Andrea Rinaldo and Suzanne Steeves Butter Gallery is a contemporary, friendly and casual space to enjoy the offerings of the many artists they represent. Every two weeks, the art changes to offer their clients a greater variety. So, if you are intrigued by a particular piece, just ask and other paintings by that artist can be brought out of storage – perhaps you’ll fall in love with more than one. Andrea and Suzanne also own the Mad and Noisy Gallery in Creemore.
The Style: The artwork – viewed from outside through large windows at their new location on Collingwood’s Hurontario Street – draws you into the bright space. As you move through the gallery, each painting shines with its unique technique, colour and subject. You are never overwhelmed, only pleased with the impressive selection housed here. This beautiful space is also available to rent for your next event.
The Wares: Sculptures, pottery, hand blown glassware and jewelry are also on display throughout this 2,400 sq. ft. airy space. But the paintings are front and centre in a mixture of figurative, landscapes and nature-inspired themes in all mediums. Suzanne and Andrea are very knowledgeable about the artists they represent. They love to share all they know about a particular piece to help each client find that perfect artistic creation for their home.
What’s Hot: Are you yet to tackle the project of hanging your artwork? Perhaps you’re not sure where it should go, or maybe you have too many pieces for your new home. Give the gallery a call and you can arrange for them to come and help you place your art. New eyes looking at your collection can give it a fresh perspective, and give you some new ideas.
