THE PLACE:Colin and Susan Springgay started Aboda Decorin 2001. Their goal? Offer medium and high-end furniture at very competitive prices. Since then, Aboda Decor has become one of Central Ontario’s top furniture stores. “Being a family business makes us more responsive to customers’ needs,” says Colin. “We can offer a massive assortment of home furnishings and also give clients a chance to order products with custom covers and finishes. This also gives the consumer a chance to buy real Canadian furniture, which is at the core of what we want to best represent at Aboda Decor.”
THE STYLE:This 10,000 sq. ft. showroom offers an extensive mix of decorating styles including reclaimed teak, white-gloss lacquer, liveedge, chrome, glass, reproduction antique, mid-century modern and Italian contemporary. Take a Virtual 3D tour of the showroom on their updated website. Canadian furniture makes up 80 per cent of Aboda Decor’s inventory. “We work with over 50 major factories from Canada and abroad to fill our showroom,” says Colin. It’s a major investment that allows shoppers to touch and feel quality furniture. Their website offers endless possibilities to illustrate what’s available.
