As luck would have it, this spectacular view a few houses down from their previous property, that they cherished for many years was up for sale. Looking to build a retirement property and sell their home in the same neighborhood, these homeowners jumped at the chance.

The property sits right at the edge of the escarpment in Blue Mountain's Swiss Meadows neighbourhood. The couple knew they wanted to enjoy the inspiring view as much as they could and since the property’s original home couldn’t deliver, they sought out Alair Homes. Alair brought these homeowners quality craftsmanship, large supply buying power, great designers and their signature online project management system, which allowed the homeowners to maintain a level of control throughout the building process.

The finished home was built with an all-stone exterior, and ski chalet-style tall windows that showcase a captivating view from the great room. The deep grey tones of the two-storey living room fireplace are repeated in the kitchen, a space designed by Corinthian Kitchen & Bath Studio, and separated from the dining room by a wine cellar. Just off the dining room, the homeowners and their guests can enjoy meals on the flagstone patio during the warmer months. Wide-plank hardwood floors cover the main floor and another patio is accessible through the master bedroom, to enjoy morning espresso and the view.

This retirement property was crafted for convenience, ease and comfort, built for main-floor living. Lucky enough to have a team that built a home that will stand for years to come, the homeowners now enjoy an enviable property with a dazzling view for as far as they can see.
